Temporary service changes in response to Covid-19

We have made some changes to the services we routinely deliver in light of the NHS response to the rapidly evolving Covid-19 situation. Find out more about these changes by clicking here.

  • Some services are suspended and stopping entirely in the short term. Please do not refer to these services until further advice is given.
  • Some services are being partially paused, prioritising only urgent activities, and doing as much of this as possible using a digital first (non-face-to-face) approach by telephone/video link.
  • Referrals triaged as low risk, may be temporarily paused or patients signposted to self-help advice. Please consider delaying referrals to these services unless you feel they are essential.
  • Some essential services are continuing and in some cases ramping up in order to meet urgent demand, subject to staffing availability. Please continue to use these services as usual. However, please note that we are not able to accept referrals of patients who would not routinely be eligible for our service

For details on the services that have temporarily changed or paused due to Covid-19, please click here.

Covid-19: additional information about service changes:

  • Older people and adult community services - A flow chart detailing the changes can be found here.
  • Adult mental health services - a referral flow chart for GPs can be found here
  • Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) - A flow chart can be found here
  • ADHD services - Patients that are currently in the middle of medication titration will continue to have telephone contact with the Clinic. If they require a change in dose (increase) we will continue to see them face-to-face. If they are happy to remain on their current dosage, we will write to you requesting that you provide a repeat prescription until such a time that we can see them face to face. All patients currently waiting for an annual review will receive a letter inviting them to a telephone review.
