Keep warm, keep well campaign

How to keep well during the winter months

Keep warm, keep well campaign
03 January 2013

This year Cambridgeshire has again successfully secured Department of Health funding to mitigate the effects of winter on the health of older people and other vulnerable groups.

The Keep Warm, Keep Well project aims to ensure the most vulnerable people are able to secure the appropriate information and support to maintain their health during winter. This may range from small financial grants that will enable them to heat their homes during the winter months, boiler repairs, receive help with shopping or appropriate information about how to maintain their health during winter.

These additional services are provided by community voluntary organisations, district and city local authorities and the county council.

Care Network is co-ordinating the project and will be overseeing the referral system to ensure that access to services is quick and efficient. For more information, call 01223 714452 or e-mail warmhomes@carenetwork.org.uk.
