CPFT nurses meet Princess Royal

Dee and Carol speak of pride ahead of charity climb

CPFT nurses meet Princess Royal
15 June 2015

CPFT nurses Dee Stanford and Carol Evans met the Princess Royal at a celebration to mark the centenary of the Cavell Nurses Trust.

They attended a garden party hosted by the trust and patron, Princess Anne.

Dee, who works for the CASUS team, and Carol, from the Integrated Offender Management team in Huntingdon, were invited to the party after because they are taking part in a sponsored climb of the 3000m Mount Cavell in Canada in August to raise money for the Cavell Nurses Trust and the RCN Foundation.

Dee said: "We had a wonderful day and we were both honoured to be introduced to Princess Anne, who was very keen to find out what we were doing and how the training is going. We spoke with many people who were interested in our 'day jobs' and met others who are taking part in the climb."
