Fiona Onasanya has praised the work of staff at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.

The Peterborough MP visited CPFT’s Cavell Centre in Bretton Gate, Peterborough, on Friday (24 August), and viewed a number of inpatient wards and spoke to staff and patients.

Following her visit Fiona said: "I think that the staff are absolutely phenomenal. They made me feel very welcome. I can completely see why patients would interact so well. Their compassion is evident."

She was given her tour of the Cavell Centre by Chief Executive Tracy Dowling, General Manager Wendy Scott-Earl and Modern Matron Martin Bonda (above). She is pictured (right) with Treatment ward manager Lizzie Benson and staff member Jacob Smith.

CPFT provides mental health for children, adults and older people and community care services for older people and those with long-term health conditions. The Cavell Centre is one of Trust’s main mental health bases along with Fulbourn Hospital in Cambridge.
