Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) has appointed a new Chief Operating Officer to join its Board of Directors.

Sarah Warner is joining CPFT from Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust where she was Managing Director.

She has extensive knowledge and experience in health care with more than 10 years’ experience in NHS operational leadership in mental health as well as in acute hospitals.

Under Sarah’s leadership, her management team generated £9.2m of new income through service expansion and development. She also led the implementation of the Trust’s Single Point of Access service and redeveloped the county-wide inpatient provision, which included a £42m new build.

Sarah said: “I am really excited to have been appointed and look forward to the challenges this new role will bring. I am committed to involving patients, carers and staff in service improvement.”

Aidan Thomas, Chief Executive of CPFT, said: “I am delighted to welcome Sarah to the Board of Directors. She has an incredible amount of experience that will strengthen our executive team even further.
“Most importantly of all, she has a proven track record for providing the very best services for patients and their families.”
