Kind-heart fundraisers have presented staff at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust with a new heart monitor.

Members of the Welland Lodge raised £3,950 to buy the electrocardiography (ECG) machine to help aid the work of CPFT’s team based at the Memory Clinic in Peterborough.

The Memory Clinic offers assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with dementia. To access the service patients have to be referred by their GPs.

Service manager Ewa Michocka-Lowthian said: “We are delighted that the members of Welland Lodge decided to support our work.

“Gifting us the ECG machine is incredibly kind and will really help us in our work with patients.”

The Memory Clinic is part of the Dementia Resource Centre in Lincoln Road, Millfield, which also houses representatives of the Alzheimer's Society and Peterborough City Council.

CPFT provides mental health and community care services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
